Local and In Season from Maine and New England

Our Partners

Local and sustainable food is important to us. We buy as much produce as we can from Maine farms and want to know how our ingredients get to us. By buying local, we reduce the amount of food needed to be trucked across the country, keep dollars in the local community, support our neighbors and their livelihood, and grow the Maine food economy. Red Kettle Foods is proud to source from these food producers in Maine and New England.

FROM FURTHER AFIELD

Our vegan kimchi uses a Korean-style soy sauce (ganjang), made only with soybeans, water, and salt. We’re lucky to source our ganjang from master fermenter Uk Kang, based in Virginia. Q-Rapha small batch ganjang is naturally fermented and aged for 3 years, and made with high-quality, non GMO soybeans.

OUR NONPROFIT AND RESTAURANT PARTNERS

We partner with local New England nonprofits and restaurants to provide culinary education and food access for food insecure communities. As a small food business based in Waldo County, our goal is to work towards creating equal access to healthy, affordable, local food for our county and our neighbors in Knox, Hancock, and Penobscot Counties.
